At June 2, 2017 Provincial Council meeting Minister Hunter (Education) and Minister Flynn (Labour) spoke to the governments undertaking and commitment to address workplace violence in schools. Members of District 30 participated in Workplace Violence Interviews on June 12th, 2017 giving voice to the workplace violence and response of management in Provincial Schools from all classes of PSAT D30 members. At AMPA 2015-2016 the inspiring Dennis Edney (counsel for Omar Khadr) spoke about the injustice perpetrated by the government of Canada on Omar Khadr, a child soldier at best, and victor in the supreme court of Canada. Despite his legal victory the government took an inordinate amount of time to settle with Mr. Khadr.
